The Hotel Saint-Jacques evokes the charm of the Belle Epoque and offers its guests a haven of peace where they can take it easy after a busy day in Paris. You’ll step back in time when you relax in the delightfully soothing surroundings of our Bar Toulouse Lautrec. Enjoy some champagne, an aperitif or any of the other refreshments offered on our menu.

A journey into yesteryear...

An establishment of considerable charm located in a beautiful 19th century building in the heart of the neighbourhood of artists and students known as the Latin Quarter, the Hotel Saint-Jacques celebrates the Belle Epoque. Particularly interesting is our hotel’s superb staircase, which served as a backdrop for a scene in Charade, the early 60s thriller movie starring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.

If you appreciate the Belle Epoque ambiance, you will immediately feel at ease in our Toulouse-Lautrec lounge with its superb zinc bar at which you can unwind at the end of the day. Stepping over the threshold, you’ll be enchanted by its decor and atmosphere. We particularly recommend tasting a glass of absinthe. Unlike many aperitifs, absinthe was always prepared and consumed in a very particular and almost ritualistic way that contributed to its popularity. Or you may prefer to sip a glass of Cuvée Saint-Jacques champagne to accompany your pure moments of tranquil relaxation.

An immersion in Montmartre culture

Our lounge bar offers a collection of books from the 18th and 19th centuries that you’re welcome to browse. The comfortable armchairs, wall frescoes, paintings depicting the pleasures of the Parisian night, decorative objects... everything here recalls the art of living in the time of La Goulue, the dancer who was a muse and icon of Belle Epoque era Paris. After exploring the capital and discovering its wonders, you can prolong the magic and experience a timeless moment in our Bar Toulouse Lautrec, where homage is paid to an artist who celebrated la culture de Montmartre so lovingly.
