The mercury is rising in Paris, so why not chill out with a trip to Paris Plages (Paris Beaches)? There’s palm trees, deckchairs, swimming, entertainment... everything you would expect of a seaside resort apart from the sand and the sea. Enjoy it during your stay at the Hotel Saint-Jacques, along with the Tuileries Funfair, which runs until August 25th.

Paris Plages; a fun-filled summer experience!

Since its launch in 2002, the success of the summer leisure activities festival called Paris Plages has gone from strength to strength, and the lack of sand for the last two years has not lessened its appeal at all. This popular and joyous sunshine event can be found in locations such as the embankments of the Right Bank of the Seine between the Pont de Sully and the Pont Neuf, on the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville and by the Bassin de la Villette (Quai de Loire).

Deckchairs, parasols, palm trees and swimming facilities will ensure you enjoy 100% relaxation and fun in the sun. Pop-up libraries are also at your service, as well as a host of activities such as ball games, rowing and pedalos.

Simply bring your towel, swimsuit and holiday mood! If you get thirsty or peckish, Paris Plages offers various refreshments stalls to choose from. Make the most of this sunniest of summers.

In the heart of Paris, the Tuileries Funfair

Every summer, the Jardin des Tuileries, located between the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde, hosts the Fête des Tuileries, a traditional funfair for all the family.

Until Sunday, August 25th, some 80 attractions including twenty rides await you. With ghost trains, dodgems, games of skill, merry-go-rounds, trampolines and a Ferris wheel, it’s all the fun of the fair.

And, of course, you can tuck into waffles, donuts, chichis, toffee apples, candy floss and all your favourite fairground treats!
